Superfine Merino Single Ply is a single ply construction yarn – 1/4nm – giving 400m per 100g. Superfine Merino 1 Ply is made with 100% fine merino (19.5 micron) wool. It is a single-ply yarn which will give a completely different look to conventional plied yarn when dyed or knitted. The single ply gives a softer stitch effect. Of course being made from merino, it has a lovely bounce and warmth to the handle and it goes without saying that being made from 19.5 micron merino makes it extremely soft.
Care Instructions: Hand wash using a wool detergent ideally below 30⁰C, avoid wringing and twisting. Dry flat, do not sun dry, spin or tumble dry.
The merino used in this yarn is from South America where the practice of mulesing is not used.
Pictures are a representation of colorway. New photos are not always taken after every batch. Due to the nature of hand dyeing and speckling, each skein is unique and there are no dye lots. Your skein may vary in color and depth of color, but I do try to keep them as consistent as possible.
